Andrew Duff meets with Ming Campbell at Mildenhall, shortly before his resignation
Andrew Duff Lib Dem euro MP for the East of England said: "Ming Campbell's resignation is sad but, like the man, entirely honourable. His leadership will be remembered as a period of necessary re-organisation of the party, and his expertise in foreign affairs is without rival in the House of Commons. Now we are to have a lively leadership election which will leave the Liberal Democrats well placed to enter the general and European elections in 2009."
