Andrew visits Redwings Horse sanctuary and talks Horse welfare

Andrew Duff commented on his visit to Redwings Horse Sanctuary: "I was delighted to see at first hand what good work Redwings is doing in rescuing horses which have been badly treated elsewhere across the country. Horse welfare is a very large concern of many of my constituents in the East of England.

"Redwings has much good practice to share. I will be working with Lynn Cutress and her team to review current EU legislation on animal welfare and, in particular, to discuss with the European Commission whether the EU horse passport scheme can be toughened up to so as to enable owners of abused horses to be traced and prosecuted."
